Dedicated to the Growing and Showing of Chrysanthemums and Dahlia's

About Nuneaton C&D society...

We have just held our 80th year of shows and a lot has changed since 1927.  In the Chrysanthemum world gone are the big commercial nursaries like Woolmans, Rileys, Rowes and others to be replaced by more semi professional people that now keep the supply of material each year and the breeding is down to folks like our own George Freestone.

In Dahlia's  the situation isn't quite as bad with a far few nurseries still supplying dahlia cuttings each year but the breeding is still carried out by "amateurs" like our own Vice President Mr Roger Turrell who's AVOCA suffix graces the name of countless show bench winners.

If however you think that you need acres of ground and 1000's of plants to compete at shows each year you are very much mistaken ........
